You're Gone

My heart beat fast and then stood still,
my world was silent yet I screamed until,
I couldn't breathe.

Numb inside yet full of pain.
The words i heard hit me once again,
I can't believe, You're gone.

To my knees I fell but my heart sank lower,
on the side of the road where I had pulled over to
call and see,and that's when mom told me, you're gone.

The ride to the house was too much to bare,
I was gasping for breath but was breathing the air,
its killing me, you're gone.

Without you here what will I do.
The joy I once had, the world I once knew,
it's not there, you're gone.

Everyday Daddy I think of you and my thoughts
always leave me with the pain renewed,
I still can't believe, you're gone.
